Camera



Camera Obscura: Latin for "dark chamber"

Visible Spectrum: the portion of the electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye

Electromagnetic spectrum: the range of all possible frequencies of electromagnetic radiation

Image Sensor: device that converts an optical image to an electric signal

Aperture: hole or an opening through which light travels

Shutter: a mechanical device of a camera that controls the duration of a photographic exposed to light

Exposure: the total amount of light allowed to fall on the photographic

Depth of Field: is the zone of sharpness both in front and behind the main subject. When you focus on your subject, you can choose to blur the background and foreground or have everything in sharp focus

F-stop: controls the amount of light going into the camera.Shutter Speeds control how fast the light goes in

Focal length: indicates the magnification and angle-of-view of a lens
